WSJ Editors on the Chopping Block

On Wednesday, Robert Thomson, editor of the WSJ sent a memo to his staff stating that they will be making cuts in the editing department. Fifty positions will be lost, most of which will come from the South Brunswick, NJ editorial operations office, which was created in the wake of 9/11. Among the jobs lost are those from the desks of global news, global copy, global pagination, monitor and standalone WSJ.com. MediaWeek (July 18, 2008)
