Washington Post Launches Web Magazine Unit

The Washington Post plans on launching a new unit that will be responsible for creating and managing a series of Web-based magazines. The unit is called The Slate Group and hopes to develop its own audience through these web magazines and eventually move into other forms of media either on its own or through acquisitions.
