The Sporting News’ annual Best Sports Cities issue is out — and the top two spots go to Pennsylvania. Pittsburgh is number one, followed by Philadelphia, and there are 396 ranked entries after that… The top two spots makes for a pretty impressive performance for the Keystone state, but you have to tip your hat to the Bay state, if you take a longer view. Their capital, Boston, took first place in three of the past five years. Of course, there are plenty of other worthy contenders, too. For a magazine that has a habit of starting and settling friendly wagers and spirited discussions, the Best Sports Cities issue takes things to a whole new level. Enjoy!
