Tribune Company Cuts Costs, Cuts Pages
June 6th, 2008
Tribune Company newspapers, namely the Los Angeles Times and Chicago Tribune, will be printing fewer newspapers and employing fewer journalists according to Samuel Zell, the chairman and chief executive of the company. The goal of the company is to have a 50/50 split between news and advertisements, thus eliminating over 500 pages a week across all of Tribune’s 12 papers. NY Times (June 6, 2008)
