Time Warner Looking To Sell AOL

June 16th, 2008

Time Warner Inc. is looking for a buyer for AOL’s dial-up business, after the company completes its separation from the Platform A advertising division sometime in July. Time Warner has put its sales talk with rival dial-up company/potential buyer EarthLink on hold in order to be able to focus completely on its separation. Sources say that talks are likely to resume with EarthLink, as well as other potential buyers, as soon as the separation is complete. NY Post (June 16, 2008)
