Time Mag Loses Photo Editor
June 4th, 2008
MaryAnne Golon, longstanding photo director at Time magazine, will be leaving after a 24-year stint with the publication. She started working there in ‘82, and aside from a brief period at U.S. News and World Report, she has been there since. Alice Gabriner will be replacing Golon as chief picture editor, and will also carry the title of acting director of photography. A spokesperson for Time wanted to clarify that Golon’s departure is not the result of cost-cutting. MediaWeek (June 3, 2008)
