			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>On April 30, David Willey took over as the American Society of Magazine Editors&#8217; president.  He succeeds ASME former president and <em>Glamour</em> editor Cindi Leive.  She will remain on the board for two years as ex-officio president, a spot previously filled by Mark Whitaker.  Willey, a senior vp of Rodale and editor of <em>Runner&#8217;s World</em> and editorial director of <em>Running Times</em>, is the first president of the organization to be based out of NYC in almost 10 years.  Other two-year term additions to ASME include <em>People</em> managing editor Larry Hackett, <em>Popular Mechanics</em> editor Jim Meigs, and <em>Ladies&#8217; Home Journal</em> editor Diane Salvatore.  ASME also reelected the following officers for their second 1-year terms: <em>Elle</em> editor Roberta Myers, <em>New York</em> editor Adam Moss, and <em>Self</em> editor Lucy Danziger.  <a href="http://www.mediaweek.com/mw/news/print/article_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1003796742">MediaWeek</a> (April 30, 2008)</p>
