Interweave Acquires Nielsen Magazines

The arts and crafts publisher, Interweave, has recently acquired four art-related magazines from Nielsen Business Media. Included in the deal are American Artist, Drawing, Watercolor and Workshop magazines. CEO of Aspire, Interweave’s parent company, calls the acquisition, “a great expansion.” Folio (June 2, 2008)

New Wall Street Journal Lux Mag Finds Publisher

As posted below, the Wall Street Journal is launching a new luxury lifestyle magazine, simply titled WSJ.  Ellen Asmodeo-Giglio was named VP, publisher.  She previously spent 17 years at American Express Publishing, holding an assortment of positions.  MediaWeek (April 10, 2008)
