Coming: An Oprah-less Cover of ‘O’ Magazine

Oprah Winfrey has reportedly directed editors of O: The Oprah Magazine to plan for covers without her in six months time.  The star, who has appeared on every cover since the monthly’s launch in 2000, apparently wants to take a break from the photo shoots.  The New York Post  (Aug. 21, 2008)

Oprah Audience Member Sues Star’s Production Company After Fall

The suit alleges that Harpo Productions failed to adequately protect audience members before a Dec. 5, 2006, taping of the Oprah Winfrey show.  Plaintiff Orit Greenberg claims she suffered “severe and permanant” injuries as a result of a disorderly “seat-yourselves” policy.  Chicago Sun-Times  (Mar. 19, 2008)
