Will Leitch, founding editor of Deadspin, is leaving to become a contributing editor for New York magazine. While Leitch says he will still contribute to Deadspin.com, it will obviously be in a much more limited role. Under Leitch, Deadspin has become the world’s most popular independent sports blog. Anthony Licata, a long time Field & Stream staffer, has been promoted to editor, to replace Sid Evans who left the magazine last month to join Garden & Gun. Bonnier Corp.’s group publisher Eric Zinczenko said, “He’s a very talented editor and a total outdoorsman.” Folio (Nov. 27, 2007)
