Source Interlink Distribution Files Suit Against Time Warner
According to a lawsuit filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on May 9, Source Interlink Distribution, LLC, claims that Time Warner Retail has breached contract, is taking part in discriminatory and retaliatory business practices, has promoted unfair competition, and is interfering with existing retailer customers. The suit claims that Time Warner Retail broke an agreement in 2001 by selling to thirds parties the delivery, sales and return data related to Chas. Levy Circulation Company. Levy was acquired by Source in 2005. Source is also claiming that Time Warner Retail’s pricing policy is forcing the company to “operate at significantly lower margins” in high-cost markets, and that Time Warner is interfering with its retail customers by contacting retailers in an effort to force Source “into substantially devalued pricing deals.” Source vs. Time Warner Lawsuit [PDF] Folio (May 27, 2008)
