Reuters and International Herald Tribune Strike Content Agreement
December 10th, 2007
The WSJ says that the agreement is noteworthy because, under its terms, Reuters will receive a portion of the advertising revenue raised in the business sections to which it will provide content, rather that receiving a standard subscription fee. “‘It’s a new model,’ said Michael Golden, publisher of the International Herald Tribune.” The business sections of the IHT’s Asian and European editions will be re-branded with references to Reuters, instead of outgoing content provider Bloomberg LP.
