Publix Acquires 49 Albertsons In Florida

Publix Super Markets have agreed to purchase 49 Albertsons stores from Albertsons LLC, Boise, Idaho. While the terms of the transaction are not disclosed, Publix is buying 30 locations in central Florida and 4 locations in southern Florida. The grand opening for each store will depend upon how much remodeling is necessary for each individual store. Supermarket News (June 9, 2008)
