ProLogix Scrambles to Deliver Product in Cincinnati Amidst Power Outage

September 17th, 2008

Charles Penegar, an operations director for ProLogix, reports on the company’s efforts to deliver product in the Cincinnati area this week, amidst a power outage.  His email to supply chain partners from last evening follows in its entirety.

We have been in contact with our folks and Cincinnati. Everyone seems to be fine but the power is still out and RDC remains closed. Still no firm ETA on when it will be back up. Could be without power the remainder of the week.In order to get some product to our customers, our plans are to generate a weekly invoice remotely, pick confirm the invoices, transport the invoices to Cinci, galley the product, and deliver on Thursday, Friday. We also plan to generate a second invoice with 12 - 15 class/checkout titles, pick confirm and galley those as well. By following this plan, we’ll be able to put together orders, regardless of whether or not we have power, and deliver weeklies and major C/O titles to any store that will accept the orders.

We understand this plan is not ideal, but it will help us deliver a good portion of the units on time and make catch-up and recovery next week much smoother.

Let me know if anyone has questions.

Thanks

Charles Renegar
