Northern & Shell, the owner of OK! magazine, is suing rival magazine Heat, claming that the celebrity competitor quoted extensively from the OK! interview, in which teen star Jamie Lynn Spears revealed she was pregnant.  The issues was a huge success for OK!’s US edition.  OK!’s group editorial director, Paul Ashford, said “We take pride in handling their stories and pictures in a positive and responsible way. We go to all possible lengths within the law to protect these exclusives and safeguard the interests of the celebrities and of our own readers.”  In the past, OK! has successfully taken action against competitors over copyright infringement.  Guardian Unlimited (Jan. 9, 2007)
