The 23rd annual City and Regional Magazine Association awards contest is being coordinated by the University of Missouri School of Journalism on behalf of CRMA.  84 finalists were chosen out of 912 magazines to compete for awards in such categories as “General Excellence”, “Excellence Online”, “Excellence in Design”, and “Excellence in Writing”.  Many of the nominees received several nominations.  Among them, Texas Monthly nominated in 15 categories, Los Angeles magazine nominated for 14 categories, and Philadelphia, which received 9 nominations.  Winners will be announced at CRMA’s 32nd annual conference which is being held this year from May 31 - June 2 in Memphis.  Folio (Mar. 6, 2008)
