New Magazine Launches Up in 1Q

The number of new magazine launches in the first quarter of 2008 is up by 5 titles since last year, bringing the number to 150.  An increase from 2007, but still a pretty large decrease from 2006’s 192 first quarter new launches.  However, on the decline so far this year is the number of titles published 4 or more times.  Only 41 of the new launches are planned to be published more than 4 times year.  This number is down from the previous 2 years.  Mr. Magazine (April 26, 2008)
