Publisher Robert Kennedy writes in the October issue that he thinks the sport of bodybuilding could beef up a little in terms of charisma, personality or character … you know, the attribute that help make Arnold Schwarzenegger, not just huge, but a huge success in the movies and politics, too. In an effort to enliven the pages of Musclemag International with character, Kennedy has signed up four bodybuilding stars as columnists. First columns by Mark Dugdale, Fouad Abiad, Johnnie Jackson appear in the October issue along with a profile of Joel Stubbs, whose first column will appear in November. Stubbs is a commercial pilot and – although the cover line that suggests he is built like a jumbo jet may be hyperbole – it’s likely his flight engineer has to leave a few seats open in first class when he is on the flight deck in order to properly balance the aircraft.
