Most Marketers Lacking Personal Emails

According to a new study released by the email performance management company Return Path, 85 percent of marketers do not customize their first email to new subscribers. While most of the companies collect data beyond the email address of their new subscribers, they still do not use any of it to create a personalized message to welcome them. In fact, 60 percent of companies do not send any kind of welcome email to new subscribers. Circulation Management (June 4, 2008)
