It’s been big summer of news for the women of Americon Idol. After a long period of flirtation and recrimination, Idol judge Paula Abdul has “tweeted” that she and the show will part ways. Past winner Kelly Clarkson has duked it out with member of the press over her weight and whether her romantic interests were boys or girls. (The answer to that question: boys!) Now, with the seasons about to change, Kelly appears on the cover of Self Magazine, and channeling none other than William Shakespeare with this cover line. “Stay True to You and Everyone Else Will Love You, too!” Along with the profile of Ms. Clarkson, Self rounds out another great issue with interesting pieces on beauty, fitness and “sexier sex.” The September issue is on promotion in Borders, Safeway, Whole Foods and all the major airport/terminal retailers.
