The Associated Wholesale Grocers (AWG) facility, which serves independent retailers throughout the region, was without power for two days this week due to the severe weather.  (AWG is the nation’s second largest retailer-owned grocery wholesaler in the United States, serving more than 1,900 stores in a 21 states.)  Supermarket News  (Dec. 13, 2007)
