Hearst Hires Design Director for Untitled Food Mag

June 24th, 2008

Hearst still isn’t revealing much about its top-secret new food title, but bit by bit details are coming together.  Late last week, Hearst confirmed publicly that it is in fact working on a food magazine in conjunction with the Food Network.  Deirdre Koribanick has been hired as the design director to develop test issues, which are rumored to be out in the fall.  Koribanick comes from Page Six as creative director.  Earlier this year, Hearst snatched up Maile Carpenter from Every Day with Rachel Ray to edit the new title.  Sources say the title will represent personalities from across the Food Network palette, instead of focusing on just one celebrity chef.  MediaWeek (June 20, 2008)
