Harris Teeter Coming to Baltimore
May 7th, 2008
High-end, Charlotte-based grocery chain Harris Teeter plans to enter the Baltimore marke with a 60,00 square foot store that will anchor McHenry Row, a mixed-use development of shops, office buildings and apartments under construction at the former Chesapeake Paperboard site in Locust Point. Baltimore has reportedly been “under-retailed” — especially by the big chains — but that seems to be changing, with more national retailers moving in, despite the sluggish economy.
