They weren’t available on newsstands and sent only to 5,000 chiefs in the beauty, fashion, and media industries, but some observers are still vexed at the inclusion of advertising on the cover.  Isn’t it a violation of American Society of Editors (or ASME) guidelines?  Either way, if you weren’t among the lucky 5,000, you can purchase one of 50,000  similarly-decked-out UK Harper’s Bazaars on London newsstands.  Folio:  (Dec. 7, 2007)
