Family Dollar Forgoes Fashion for Food

Partly in response to its customers’ increased demand for discount necessities in a difficult economic climate, Family Dollar is expanding its display area for foodstuffs and other basic consumable in 2,700 stores, nationwide.  The space re-allocation will come at the expense of the riskier apparel category.  GlobeSt.com  (Apr. 7, 2008)
