The cover subject may not be unexpected — it’s Barack Obama — but a 5″-by-5″ cutout in he middle of it is a bit of a surprise. It folds open to reveal a mini table of contents with some intriguing quotes from several articles and even a little picture of an “Esquire-beloved” woman, actress Anna Friel. There’s lots to recommend the February issue — from profiles of Joe Biden and Mike Huckabee (for the politics-obsessed) to an interview with Ms Friel (for any Esquire reader, really).
Esquire’s February will be available for sale in bookstores and mainstream magazine sales outlets.
