Downie Steps Down From Washington Post

Leonard Downie Jr. announced yesterday that he is stepping down from his position as executive editor at The Washington Post. Downie’s departure will end his 17-year tenure with the paper and he plans to become a Post Co. vice president at large, a title also held by his predecessor as editor, Ben Bradlee.
