Kent Brownridge Joins OK!

September 4th, 2008

Less than two weeks after stepping down as CEO of Alpha Media Group, Kent Brownridge has joined the ranks as general manager of the US edition of OK! magazine.  The move to OK! puts Brownridge in familiar territory.  During his 31 years with Jann Wenner, he had a big hand in the successful conversion of Wenner Media’s US Weekly from a struggling celeb monthly to a weekly.  His goals at OK! are to grow circulation and advertising.  He says, “My job is to make OK! a lot more profitable.”  Brownridge says the move fulfills his longtime wish to work with Richard Desmond, founder of Northern & Shell, parent company of OK!MediaWeek (Sept. 3, 2008)
