Writing in The Circulator, the online newsletter of Circulation Management magazine, Kristina Joukhadar picks up the New York Post story about the reported purchase agreement and provides a few background details. Among them: the price David Pecker and Evercore Partners paid for American Media in 1999 ($850 million) and the price AMI paid for Weider Publications in 2003 ($350 million).
