Angelina Jolie Strikes Image-Boosting Deal with ‘People’

In exchange for exclusive photos of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s newborn twins in its August 18th issue, People magazine reportedly agreed to avoid editorial coverage that reflected negatively on the couple, in addition to paying an estimated $14 million. One of the “don’ts” to which People agreed — referring to the stars as “Brangelina.” The New York Times (Nov. 20, 2008)
