Allure and Elle Among Top 5 Magazines for Ad Page Increase
48 of 154 monthly titles saw ad page increases this month.
In it’s third time on min’s 2012 Top 5 chart, Allure ranked second in June with a 41.15% ad page gain. “June 2012 was the biggest issue ever for Allure,” says VP / Publisher Agnes Chapski, “with significant gains coming from beauty and retail. The success stems from our annual signature editorial: the Reader’s Choice awards.” Allure had 137.34 ad pages this June, compared to 97.3 pages in June 2011.
Taking fourth place with the largest amount of ad pages in the Top 5, Elle had 164.85 ad pages in June. This month last year, the title had 143.24, a 15.09% gain. Senior VP / Publisher and chief revenue officer Kevin O’Malley tells min, “May, June, and July 2012 are all record-breaking for the months in ad pages and ad revenues.”
Other magazines that placed in June’s Top 5 were Guns & Ammo (1), IEEE Spectrum (3), and Ebony (5). Folio (June 4, 2012)
