African-American Magazines Generate $420 Million in Advertising in 2007

Essence saw its advertising revenue jump by more than 19%. Carlos Pelay, president of advertising research company the Media Economics Group, which tracks advertising spending in black-targed magazines, said that growth in the category has slowed, but is still healthy. Folio: (Nov. 16, 2007)
