Joseph BertolinoAs Vice President, Condé Nast Publications Group, Joe Bertolino orchestrates all aspects of retail marketing for one of CMG’s owners and flagship clients. He works closely with circulation executives at Condé Nast Publications to forecast sales, set strategic direction and allocate resources. Then, he leads CMG’s Condé Nast team and field staff members in the implementation of those plans throughout the wholesale and retail sales channel to maximize the performance of Condé Nast’s strong brands.

Bertolino has broad experience both within and outside the periodical distribution industry that has given him proficiencies in sales and marketing, research, financial analysis and operations. He served as Vice President of Operations at the outset of CMG, as part of the company’s original executive team. From 1997 until the spring of 2000, he served as Director of Client Services for the Hearst Distribution Group, where he had previously been Director of Operations.

Bertolino has held sales management positions with Times Mirror Magazines, Curtis Circulation, and Time Distribution Services (TDS), where he managed the compressed distribution schedules required of weekly titles.

Bertolino’s tenure within publishing distribution is augmented by sales and finance positions in other industries. He was Regional Sales Manager for Union Valley Corporation, a residential home builder, and spent two years as a financial analyst in the controller’s office at Home Box Office (HBO), where he evaluated marketing incentive programs for the cable industry. He lives in Howell, New Jersey.
