Debra Delmar, Vice President, Business Affairs, has direct responsibility for the Company’s business affairs and contract management with client publishers, wholesale distributors and other business partners. She monitors performance of all contractual obligations on the part of CMG and its business partners, and is also a key participant in the company’s client renewal and targeted new business acquisition efforts.
Delmar has 30 years of diversified business experience in the newsstand distribution industry. An original member of its executive team, she was Vice President/Business Development for the Hearst Distribution Group (HDG) responsible for new business, communications, creative services and market research. She designed national sales programs and marketing proposals, was instrumental in executing new business projects and started the Company’s in-house service bureau for creative, production and fulfillment services for CMG and client sales and promotion needs.
Throughout her tenure with the Company, Delmar has held a series of increasingly responsible positions, serving as Executive Director, Business Development; Executive Director, Marketing Group and Director of Client Services. She served in a number of other product management and sales and marketing capacities, including book and magazine sales management roles with key retail and wholesale accounts throughout the Central U.S.
Delmar has received two American Corporate Identity awards, several sales achievement awards, and is a member of the Association of Graphic Communications. She was educated at Michigan State University in East Lansing, MI and the College of Art & Design in Detroit. She currently resides in Norwalk, Connecticut.
