How do I install Windows Updates?

If you see the Windows Shield in the right hand corner of your start bar where the time is located, then you have Windows Updates that need to be installed. Double click on the icon.

When you double click on the icon a Ready to Install window will open. Click on Install.

You can still work on your computer while the updates are taking place.

A window will appear once the update is completed. It is a good practice to reboot your computer once completed. Some updates will ask you to reboot continually until you actually reboot.

If you want to make sure you do not need any Windows Updates, open your Internet Explorer and go to Tools at the top and select Windows Update.

This will bring you to the Microsoft Windows Update Page. It will check your computer for updates then give you the screen where you choose what to select for which Updates you want. Click on the Express button.

Window will show that it is checking for updates.

If you have updates to download, a window will show that says to Download and Install Now. Click on Download and Install Now.
