How do I find a Wireless Network on my IBM Laptop?

You will need to open IBM Access Connections.

Open IBM Access Connections. You can do that one of two ways. You can go to Start => All Programs => Access IBM => IBM Access Connections.

OR

Use the IBM Access Connection icon located on the right hand side of the Start bar near the time:

If you open using the Access Connections icon, right click and select Launch IBM Access Connections.

Once IBM Access Connections is open it will look like:

On this screen you will need to click on Find Wireless Network at the bottom of the screen.

The screen will appear showing the wireless networks you have to choose from. You should always click on Re-Scan to get the current wireless networks to choose from.

Once scan has been performed click onto a network, which will create a green dot in selection, then click on Connect button to connect. If Encryption is Enabled on that wireless network, you will need to have the Encryption Information to access that network. The Help Desk does not have that information.
