Adventure Power® and TAM Communications Form Team American Iron to Compete in Motorcycle Cannonball

COPPELL, Texas — December 19, 2013 — Adventure Power®, a Universal Power Group, Inc. brand, has joined forces with TAM Communications’ American Iron Magazine to create Team American Iron, a four-rider team that will compete in the third Motorcycle Cannonball Endurance Run. This is the third Motorcycle Cannonball coast-to-coast ride for vintage motorcycles. Adventure Power is pleased to be the title sponsor of the team that features two Motorcycle Hall of Fame inductees, Editor-in-Chief and founder of TAM Communications, Buzz Kanter, and author Cris Sommer Simmons. Kanter and Simmons are joined by Cris’ husband, rock icon Pat Simmons, co-founder, songwriter, guitarist and vocalist for the Doobie Brothers, and Paul Ousey, President of Oz Trucking and Rigging and a veteran of the previous two Motorcycle Cannonball events.   

 The Motorcycle Cannonball Endurance Run (www.MotorcycleCannonball.com) will follow a southeast-to-northwest 4,100 mile transcontinental route starting in Daytona Beach, Florida, and ending 17 days later in Tacoma, Washington. More than 100 riders from around the world are expected to participate in the event, which is open to participants riding pre-1937 motorcycles. Riders will average upwards of 300 miles per day, spending more than eight hours each day on the road. The scenic route sticks mostly to America’s back roads and will include planned stops at a variety of motorcycle dealers, museums and other points of interest along the way. Celebrating 100 Years of Crosswords

The special edition Penny Press Publication 100 Years of Crosswords in BOOKAZINE format, will celebrate the history of the crossword puzzle.  It will begin by printing the very first crossword by Arthur Wayne, which was published in the New York Sun in 1913.  This will be accompanied by a brief history of the crossword puzzle.  Included with the themed crossword puzzles will be 10 crosswords each focusing on events, famous people, music, film, etc. in a crossword anniversary year (2013, 1933, 1943, 1953 and up to the year 2013).  The 100 years of Crosswords special will generate EXCELLENT profits for our retail partners.

Heinrich Bauer USA Signs Long-term Agreement with CMG for Full-Service, Sales & Marketing Representation

New Jersey, September 5, 2013 – Heinrich Bauer USA LLC (“Bauer”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bauer Media, has announced that it will be moving all of its business for sales and marketing services to CMG effective immediately.  Bauer had previously signed a long-term full service agreement with CMG in May 2013 to provide extensive launch activities for several new magazines, scheduled to launch in the Fall 2013 including weekly title, Closer, as well as Girls’ World and Celebrate With Woman’s World Specials.   The new agreement was announced jointly today by Richard C.
