Senior Vice President
Rob Brassell, Senior Vice President, manages CMG’s wholesale/logistics, retail marketing and in-store execution teams in the US and Canada. He is responsible for the implementation of title specific marketing plans for the Hearst, Bauer, American Media, Condé Nast, and many other brand recognizable client publishers. In his previous role at CMG as Vice President, Sales, he held responsibility for wholesale operations and retail marketing on behalf of CMG and CMG clients. A member of CMG’s original executive team, Brassell works to ensure that continuing consolidation at the wholesale and retail levels does not hamper the effective distribution of CMG client titles, through all the classes of trade.
Before joining the Hearst Distribution Group (HDG) as a Vice President in 2000, Brassell held various management positions in wholesale distribution and retail marketing over the course of some 19 years. From 1997 through 2000, he was Vice President of Globe Marketing Services, a division of Globe Communications Corporation, where he entered the business some 16 years earlier. Prior to that, he managed a national field staff during a six-year stint with Murdoch Magazines Distribution, Inc. Brassell gained broad-based periodical sales experience in a variety of positions with Globe Marketing Services during the first 10 years of his professional career.
Brassell is a graduate of Wake Forest University, and currently makes his home in Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania.
