Vice President, Finance
John DiFrisco, as Vice President, Finance, is responsible for analyzing the financial relationships between CMG and its publisher clients, customers and vendors, and overseeing a range of finance and administrative functions. An original member of CMG’s executive team, DiFrisco prepares annual operating and capital budgets, profit and loss analyses, corporate financial packages and long-term financial forecasts.
Before the formation of CMG, DiFrisco held a series of increasingly responsible positions with the Hearst Distribution Group (HDG) and its Eastern News Division. He was the company’s Director of Business Affairs for much of the 1990′s, during which time he developed expertise in the specialized accounting requirements of the publishing distribution industry. He revamped wholesaler pricing policies, developed weekly invoice systems and customized management compliance reports for weekly magazine, monthly magazine and book accounts receivables. Prior to taking on general accounting responsibility for the company, he was General Accounting Manager for its Eastern News Division. There, he hired and trained a 44-person accounting staff, formulated recommendations on new business acquisitions and prepared the annual corporate balance sheet, among performing other duties.
A Certified Public Accountant (CPA), DiFrisco earned an MBA with honors from Fordham University’s Martino Graduate School of Business, and received his undergraduate degree from Lehigh University. He currently lives on Long Island.
